10 years ago, Jeddah’s Industrial City was facing a water shortage and high water prices. For many years Kindasa founders were not able to find a suitable piece of land to execute the project as many lands in South Jeddah are reserved and not available.
Bushnak Group proposed an idea of setting up the plant inside Jeddah Islamic Port and supply them free water in exchange for the land which is very close to the Industrial City. Bushnak Group also did the required lobbying and secured the governmental approval from The Saudi Transportation Ministry. This made Kindasa the first private project to get an approval to treat and sell bulk water in parallel with the Saudi government.
